HISTORY OF ZIMPHER KYSER INC. William Zimpher started the Zimpher Sales & Engineering company in 1942. He was the western Ohio sales representative for the Aerovent Fan Co., which just happened to be located in his hometown of Piqua, Ohio. Scott Zimpher joined his father’s business in 1972 upon graduation from the Defiance College. Bill and Scott formed the corporation Zimpher Sales Inc. in 1973. In 1975, Zimpher Sales, Inc. ventured into the air filtration business becoming a representative for the Farr Filter Company. Ms. Shirley Saunders joined the company in 1976 and continues today as office manager. George Kyser joined the company in April of 1978. George had worked the previous nine years at Aerovent Fan Co. bringing a wealth of knowledge concerning the mechanical as well as design of ventilation products and services. In the late 1970’s, Zimpher Sales Inc. moved into the field of industrial dust collection with the Torit Division of Donaldson Company. William Zimpher retires from active selling in 1982. In 1995, Scott and George form a partnership and a new corporate name, Zimpher Kyser Inc. Scott, George, and Shirley continue to this day, providing the services and solutions for the industrial and commercial ventilation needs of the Ohio Valley. |
